Real-ease

TMJ R.E.S.E.T. & REIKI

Real-ease – is my second signature combo designed to balance the jaw joint and restore the flow of energy in the whole body system through gentle touch.

The treatment is based on two techniques - TMJ R.E.S.E.T. technique and traditional Japanese Reiki.

The majority of the women that I meet and work with suffer from the tension in the jaw, often resulting in bruxism or migraines.

Led by the desire to meet their needs and add a new dimension to my already existing offerings, I've learnt the technique of TMJ R.E.S.E.T. (Rafferty Energy System of Easing the Temporomandibular Joint).

The method was developed by Philip Rafferty, a Melbourne-based kinesiologist. The Temporomandibular Joint plays a major role in cranial and spinal dynamics and influences the body, including the skeletal, muscular, nervous, and meridian systems, as well as hydration. R.E.S.E.T. directs the healing energy through the muscles, nerves, and ligaments in the Jaw to achieve balance and release.

This treatment is also perfect for people who can't use an oil or a deep tissue massage. The technique is non-manipulative of the tissues. The healing energy is given through a sequence of simple hands placement over the body systems while the client is fully clothed.

Once I've started receiving great feedback about the treatment, I've decided to combine it with a classical Reiki technique for the most holistic effect and a perfect sequence closure.

  • For the first time in my life, I tried out a session dedicated to releasing tensions and emotions trapped in the jaw and realized how little attention most therapists give to this part of the body. Kasia took care of me with tenderness, gentleness and great empathy. During the session I felt super relaxed and tenderly taken care of; I even had a few flashbacks to situations with people I hadn't thought about in years. Also, I released some stagnant energies. Additionally, in the next few days after the session, I felt some processes taking place in my jaw (something loosened, something popped)

  • I've just flown out from the Real-ease session full of energy, with relief of the painless body, with lots of enthusiasm, gratitude and almost childlike happiness. We think with words. Blockages of the energy of some words (spoken or not) stuck in the facial tissues, around the jaw, was related in my case to the tension in other parts of my body. After the massage – touch therapy, I've felt lightness, freedom and a lot of space in my body, freed up to be filled again with pure love.

    ANNA

My first contact with Reiki transpired years ago thanks to  my teacher Ela Sikorska-Klimczak who was a Great Reiki Master. Even though I received other type of teachings from Ela, after her departure in 2022, I've begun my Reiki certification.

The origin of Reiki can be traced back to the ancient Tibetan Sutras; yet it was in Japan where Dr. Mikao Usui rediscovered the technique in the late 1800's after a lifetime of search for its origin.

The word Reiki comprises the two Japanese characters, rei, meaning universal spirit, and ki, meaning vital life force or energy. A hands-on healing therapy, Reiki is a therapeutic approach in which the practitioner facilitates the delivery of universal energy to an individual to enhance vitality and promote the body's innate ability to heal.

This subtle energy, known as ki in Japanese, chi in Chinese, and prana in Sanskrit, is the essence that underlies vitality and intelligence of the universe and everything in it. Reiki has been described as God’s love in the purest form, complete and unconditional.

It is worth noticing that while researching the TMJ R.E.S.E.T. technique, Philip Rafferty was inspired by Reiki as well.

About the session

The session lasts around 70 minutes and can also follow the mentoring session within the SACRED BLOOM COMBO - instead of the Abhyanga massage.
